The Sharpshooter - Print

This is Ryan's proudest print as its' inspiration came from his daughter calling him out and asking why he wasn't making photos of cowgirls. He had struggled to find cowgirl toys that weren't sexualized, but the question from his daughter, Finley McKenna, forced him to search harder. Once he was able to find the right toy, it was all over and this is the image that came from it.

The photograph features natural materials collected from his family ranch in Steamboat Springs, Colorado along with toy plant life and Cowgirl McKenna herself. Along the edges you will find chemical imperfections that he chose to keep on the print to add authenticity and verify the process of the wet plate collodion photography process.
